CBD or Not to Be? There are too many questions. Cannabidiol (CBD) is everywhere these days—gas stations, health shops, saunas and food stores. There are so many different CBD products in existence, such as CBD pizza, CBD gummies, CBD creams, and even CBD drinks! Even CBD wine, CBD beer, and CBD vodka are included. Naturally, Pennsylvania liquor licensees want to sell these CBD products, but they are confronted with confusing and sometimes conflicting guidance.

CBD is an abbreviation for cannabidiol, a compound derived from the cannabis plant, and is the second most prevalent active ingredient in cannabis after THC. THC is the active ingredient in cannabis that creates a “high.” By contrast, CBD does not produce psychoactive effects or produce a “high” upon use. Nonetheless, studies suggest CBD has some health benefits such as relaxation, pain relief, and remedying sleep issues.
