Empire Kosher Poultry was hit with a wage-and-hour class action on May 10 in Pennsylvania Court of Common Pleas for Philadelphia County. The complaint, filed by Lichten & Liss-Riordan, accuses the defendant of failing to pay overtime wages for time spend performing mandatory COVID-19 screenings. Counsel have not yet appeared for the defendant. The case is 230501142, Vasquez Nazario v. Empire Kosher Poultry Inc.
