Otis Elevator, Candelbrook Properties and other defendants were slapped with a premises liability lawsuit on May 12 in Pennsylvania Court of Common Pleas for Philadelphia County. The suit, brought by McEldrew Purtell on behalf of Jordan Martins and his sister Maraj Martins, alleges that Jordan Martins and two other individuals fell eight stories down an elevator shaft when an elevator door dislodged at Maraj Martins' apartment. Counsel have not yet appeared for the defendants. The case is 230501325, Martins et al. v. Otis Elevator Co. et al.
