With Forti at its helm, the firm’s global finance team enjoyed a standout year. In 2022, he was  tasked with a great challenge: securing $12 billion in syndication loan financing from a Goldman Sachs-led consortium to underpin KKR/Global Infrastructure Partners’ $15 billion take-private acquisition of CyrusOne, a data-center REIT. While financings of this scale typically require the work of several law firms, Forti led a cross-practice team of real estate and corporate finance lawyers at the firm that successfully married the features of large-scale real estate secured financing with the concepts of traditional corporate finance in a novel capital structure.

In December, Forti drove the acquisition financing underpinning a third large public-to-private data-center deal, representing TD Bank as lead lender in financing the$11 billion go-private acquisition of data-center company Switch by DigitalBridge/IFM.
