During the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA)'s annual elections on May 18, Katelyn Hufe Karahan, partner at Green and Spiegel, was elected chair of the Philadelphia chapter.
Nominated by its members, she will serve a one-year term, effective immediately. She has been a member of AILA for 11 years, since 2012.
As described on its website, AILA is the national association of immigration lawyers established to promote justice, advocate for fair and reasonable immigration law and policy, advance the quality of immigration and nationality law and practice, and enhance the professional development of its members.
