To Obermayer Rebmann Maxwell & Hippel partner Terry Mutchler, the question at the heart of her legal battle against Pennsylvania's Public School Employees Retirement System is a simple one.
In her words: "Does a sitting member of a public pension fund … have the right to see records that they feel they need to take votes and manage the fund?"
Mutchler said the answer is a clear "yes," but PSERS nonetheless maintained a tight hold on its records.
