Tax attorney and Flaster Greenberg shareholder David Shechtman served as a panelist for two interactive discussions on Thursday at this year's New York University Like Kind Exchange Conference held at the Westin New York in New York City.
Shechtman was joined by attorneys from New York City, Washington, D.C., and San Diego for panels titled "Partnership Transactions" and "Parking."
"Partnership Transactions" discussed acquisitions and dispositions of partnership interests and other partnership transactions involving like-kind exchanges. "Parking" reviewed parking relinquished or replacement property within or outside the safe harbor of Rev. Proc. 2000-37 and exchanges into build-to-suit replacement property.

The case, filed Oct. 2 in Massachusetts District Court by the Brown Law Firm on behalf of Stephen Austen, accuses certain officers and directors of misleading investors in regard to Symbotic's potential for margin growth by failing to disclose that the company was not equipped to timely deploy its systems or manage expenses through project delays.
