Attorneys and staff from Capehart Scatchard's workers' compensation department recently attended the ninth annual Fundraising Gala and Auction for Kids' Chance of New Jersey (KCNJ).

To date, KCNJ has raised over one million dollars to provide scholarships for children of injured workers. The event was held on July 20, at the Hilton in East Brunswick, New Jersey.

KCNJ is a nonprofit organization, created to provide educational opportunities and scholarships for the children of workers who were fatally or catastrophically injured on the job. John Geaney, co-chair of the firm's workers' compensation department, serves as a member of the Kids' Chance board of directors.
