Barley Snyder announced that the Pennsylvania Dutch Council of the Boy Scouts of America (BSA) has elected partner Jill Sebest Welch as its council president.

Since 1971, the Pennsylvania Dutch Council BSA has served Lancaster and Lebanon counties, providing an educational program for youth and young adults to build character, develop personal fitness and learn the responsibilities of citizenship, according to its website.

The Pennsylvania Dutch Council serves more than 5,300 youth, offering programs including Cub Scouts, Scouts BSA, ScoutReach and Venturing.
