Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati partners Sheryl Shapiro Bassin, Nicki Locker and Evan L. Seite have entered an appearance for Viatris, a drug company formed through the 2020 merger of Mylan and Pfizer’s Upjohn business, and current and former members of the company’s board of directors in a pending stockholder derivative lawsuit. The complaint, filed Aug. 11 in Pennsylvania Western District Court by Strassburger, Mckenna, Gutnick & Gefsky and Weiss Law, accuses the defendants of disclosing false information regarding the company’s transition plans. According to the suit, the company failed to inform the financial markets that it intended to sell its biosimilars portfolio, thus decreasing the company’s stock price by 24 percent. The case, assigned to U.S. District Judge Marilyn J. Horan, is 2:23-cv-01446, Scheiner v. Goettler et al.
