On a recent Friday, Saltz Mongeluzzi Bendesky partner Kristen Gibbons Feden received an email while she was alerting a group of six clients that a Manhattan judge had just awarded them a $10.5 million verdict for their claims that R. Kelly and his former manager made terroristic threats against them.

As Feden wrapped up a call sharing the news with one of the plaintiffs, she checked the email that had come in. The message was in regard to another, unrelated case.
