On Sept, 13, at 6 p.m., the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) of Pennsylvania and Philadelphia Lawyers for Social Equity (PLSE) are hosting a short movie screening and CLE event titled “Pardon Me: Exploring the Harms of Criminal Records and Benefits of Executive Pardons” at World Café Live. The program will include a 30-minute short film, “Pardon Me,” by Shuja Moore, followed by remarks by PLSE ED Renee Chenault-Fattah and a panel discussion by people with lived experience in the Pennsylvania criminal justice system and ACLU-PA legal staff, and the opportunity for Q&A.
