When it was announced that attorney Reginald Streater would be the new president of the Philadelphia School Board, he received a message of support from JoAnne Epps telling him he would make the community proud.

Streater had graduated several years earlier from Temple University’s Beasley School of Law, where Epps had served as dean, and had a lifetime of varied experiences making him a great fit for the role. But still, he said, receiving that message from Epps was an unforgettable boost.
