The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission sued Weis Markets on Oct. 25 in Pennsylvania Middle District Court over alleged employment discrimination. The lawsuit was brought on behalf of a charging party that accuses the defendant of fostering a hostile work environment based on her sex, as well as requiring a medical examination and making disability-related inquiries in violation of the ADA. Counsel have not yet appeared for the defendant. The case is 1:23-cv-01767, U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission v. Weis Markets, Inc.
