On Oct. 30, President Joe Biden signed an executive order on artificial intelligence (AI) to promote its responsible use, protect data privacy, and ensure that AI is safe and secure. While AI has the potential to drastically transform our daily lives, there are many dangers associated with it if artificial intelligence is employed for the wrong reasons.

For instance, Deepfakes enable bad actors to create false videos that are nearly indistinguishable from videos of real-world occurrences. This technology can be used to create propaganda, disinformation and false evidence, and to commit fraud.
