The University of Pennsylvania has tapped Wilmer Pickering Hale and Dorr to fight a federal lawsuit accusing the school of violating Title VI of the Civil Rights Act by allegedly enabling antisemitic activities across campus.

The suit, filed on behalf of two current Penn students by Kasowitz Benson Torres at the start of December, claims that the school “enforces its own rules of conduct selectively to avoid protecting Jewish students from hatred and harassment, hires rabidly antisemitic professors who call for anti-Jewish violence and spread terrorist propaganda, and ignores Jewish students’ pleas for protection.”
