As you built your career, who mentored you?

One of the biggest reasons that I work so hard to mentor younger attorneys, especially women, is because I did not have a mentor while I came up through my career. In my later years, at a time when I was starting my own firm with partners, I did have lawyers encourage me and connect me with individuals that assisted me along that path. I am thankful that I was able to "figure it out" as I grew as an attorney and am grateful for landing at a firm and in a position that encourages and supports me in my mentorship endeavors.

What is the value of robust mentorship?
