What's the most important thing you've learned during the course of your career that you wish you knew as a young lawyer?

I wish I had understood earlier the extent to which technology would become such an integral part of practicing law. It took me years to fully appreciate the scope of the tech revolution, and I wish I had come to it sooner. I can see how technology is now being put to excellent use by many of my more adept colleagues, and I wish I'd developed greater proficiency myself.

Change in the legal field seems to be ever accelerating. What's the biggest change you've seen in the profession during your career?
