The deals market has been feast or famine in recent years, how do you navigate the ups and downs of an unpredictable marketplace? Jones Day is fortunate to have a varied and broad client base, such that certain clients may remain active in transactions while others are not. Further, given that nearly every client has employees and benefits or other incentives, the employee benefits and executive compensation (EBEC) practice is needed on most transactions, regardless of the condition of the market. Lastly, the EBEC practice is multi-faceted, such that we are engaged not only on transactions but also in connection with employee transitions, plan compliance, equity incentives and related disclosures and financing both before and after the deals close.
