Litigation group co-chairs Kandice Hull and Stephanie Carfley jointly answered the questions.

What were some of the biggest challenges you faced in the past year and how did you overcome them?

One of the challenges facing all firms is how to address the appropriate use of artificial intelligence in the legal profession. We have developed a committee to explore the technology and its related considerations, created a firm policy to provide guidance to our team, and regularly review and vet new tools to determine whether they comply with the ethical standards governing attorneys and provide value to clients by improving efficiency. Another challenge has been managing our growth over the last few years, with McNees' Litigation Group now having attorneys in nearly all of our 11 offices. We have facilitated work across those offices and provided plans for the integration of new attorneys with check-in opportunities.
