The Pennsylvania Superior Court affirmed a trial court's order granting a new trial in a products liability suit after the defendant Crown Equipment Corp.'s counsel engaged in misconduct, following a previous mistrial and jury verdict in Crown Equipment's favor.

In a Tuesday opinion, authored by Superior Court Judge Alice Beck Dubow, the court affirmed the lower court's findings that Crown Equipment counsel's "misconduct 'infected the proceedings and prejudiced [appellees]' by 'profound[ly] and pervasive[ly] tainting' the proceedings."
