Companies are constantly under attack from hackers, as data breaches have become not a matter of if, but when a company will face them.
One of the most recent breaches that affected millions of US customers occurred with AT&T in late March. That is when the ransomware group UNC5537 stole six months' worth of call and text message records from almost every customer on the AT&T cellular network, affecting more than 100 million customers.
