Elected and Appointed

The Supreme Court of New Jersey recently appointed Flaster Greenberg shareholders William Burnett and Jeffrey Cohen to its District IV ethics committee (Burlington and Camden Counties).

Their term begins on Sept. 1, 2024, and runs until Aug. 31, 2028.

The core of the disciplinary system is the 18 regional district ethics committees, including the committee on which Burnett and Cohen will serve. These committees are staffed by volunteer attorney and public members. Volunteer attorney members investigate and prosecute cases of standard attorney misconduct before hearing panels consisting of volunteer attorney and public members. Findings of unethical conduct are then forwarded to the Disciplinary Review Board. District ethics committees meet monthly online or in a hybrid format.
