A woman's legal-malpractice suit against her former counsel at Rubin, Glickman, Steinberg & Gifford is moving forward, following the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas' decision to overrule objections the former counsel's objections.

In a Sept. 17 order, Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas Judge Carmella Jacquinto overruled the firm's preliminary objections to plaintiff Marie Sztubinski's complaint, Sztubinski v. Rubin, Glickman, Steinberg & Gifford, which accuses her former counsel of failing to file her medical malpractice suit with the court, and waiting nine months to inform her that her case had been dismissed.
