It's set to be a busy year for the Barristers' Association of Philadelphia, according to the organization's newly installed president, Courtney Richardson.

Richardson, who serves as executive director and chief legal counsel for the majority House appropriations committee in Pennsylvania, took over as the Barristers' Association' 74th president Sept. 12. In a conversation with The Legal Intelligencer, Richardson said she plans to focus her term on expanding the association's reach and memorializing the contributions the organization and Black attorneys have made to the city of Philadelphia.
