Elected and Appointed

William Burnett, a shareholder in Flaster Greenberg's bankruptcy department, recently accepted an adjunct professor position at Villanova University Charles Widger School of Law in Villanova, Pennsylvania, where he will teach "Bankruptcy and Corporate Reorganization."

Burnett, an attorney with almost 30 years of experience, represents clients in all areas of Chapter 7 and Chapter 11 bankruptcy proceedings, creditor's rights, and corporate liquidations. In addition, he counsels debtors on the advantages and disadvantages of Chapter 11 and the rights and remedies of creditors and unsecured creditors' committees in the Chapter 11 process.

Burnett is Flaster Greenberg's ethics counsel, a former member of the firm's board of directors, and past chair of its bankruptcy, financial restructuring and risk management department. He is a current member of the Eastern District of Pennsylvania Bankruptcy Court Local Rules Committee and was recently appointed by the Supreme Court of New Jersey to its Ethics Committee (District IV—Burlington and Camden Counties).
