Most attorneys turn to pro bono work on behalf of various outside organizations to give back to their communities; Ballard Spahr's emerging companies and venture capital group founder Greg Seltzer, meanwhile, has created his own non-profit, Philly Music Fest, and used his legal and accounting skills, his client relationships, and his passion for music to support Philadelphia's local music scene.

Founded in 2017 by Seltzer and his wife Jenn, who also has an accounting background, this year's festival includes 23 bands and six venues spread over seven days throughout the city. The goal of the program: to support local artists and donate a goal of at least $100,000 to music education programs, including the Philadelphia Youth Orchestra, World Cafe Live, and Girls Rock Philly.
