A federal judge in Pennsylvania sided with Saltz Mongeluzzi Bendesky on Monday in a former paralegal's suit that claimed the Philadelphia firm violated confidentiality requirements by disclosing her vaccination status in a conversation with The Legal Intelligencer.

U.S. District Judge Joshua D. Wolson of the Eastern District of Pennsylvania determined plaintiff Desiree Purvenas-Hayes had voluntarily disclosed her vaccine status and that the personal injury firm wasn't subject to Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) liability. The Monday decision followed the court's previous denial of the firm's attempts to dismiss Purvenas-Hayes' claims that the firm wrongfully disclosed private health information involving COVID-19 vaccine.
