Lamb McErlane announced that Anna A. O'Brien has joined the firm as an associate in its litigation practice.
O'Brien earned her J.D. from the Villanova University Charles Widger School of Law and her bachelor’s degree from Saint Joseph’s University.
She previously served as a summer law associate at Lamb McErlane and also completed an internship at the Chambers of U.S. District Judge Berle M. Schiller for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia.
Along with her education, student and community leadership opportunities were priorities for O'Brien. During law school at Villanova, she was the vice chairperson of the Charles Widger School of Law Moot Court Board. During her undergraduate studies, she participated as a leader, coordinator, and volunteer for the Appalachian Experience, where she managed a team of 25 leaders, refurbishing homes, community centers, and schools in Virginia West Virginia and North Carolina.
The Law Office of Faye Riva Cohen announced the addition of Tyler J. Smith as an associate.
Smith received his J.D. from the Temple University Beasley School of Law.
After graduating law school, he subsequently worked as an associate with Pincus Law Group and a staff attorney at the SeniorLAW Center before joining the firm. He will practice in the areas of real estate and employment law.

Stradley Ronon Stevens and Young Philadelphia partner Matthew DiClemente and New York partner Nicole Simon served as a panelist and a moderator, respectively, at the 2024 Investment Company Institute (ICI) Closed-End Fund Conference.
The event, held Nov. 12 in New York was co-sponsored by Stradley Ronon and provided valuable insights into the latest trends impacting the closed-end fund industry.
DiClemente joined a panel titled “Bylaws: The Best Available Method to Protect Long-Term Retail Investors from Activist Attacks,” which discussed potential strategies used to protect long-term shareholders. Simon served as moderator for a panel, titled “Fitting a Square in a Round Hole: Legal Impediments with Launching an Unlisted Fund and What the Future May Hold.” The conversation discussed transactions with affiliates, structural considerations, investments in underlying funds, feeder fund issues and more.
DiClemente serves as co-chair of Stradley Ronon’s investment management department and represents registered investment companies and their boards of directors, investment advisers, private funds and broker-dealers in a wide range of regulatory, corporate and transactional matters. His clients include several of the largest investment management firms and fund complexes in the country, insurance companies, private fund sponsors and family offices.
He also serves on the firm’s board of directors.

J. Brugh Lower of Gibbons has entered an appearance for industrial equipment supplier Devco Corporation in a pending trademark infringement lawsuit. The suit, accusing the defendant of selling knock-off Graco products, was filed Dec. 18 in New Jersey District Court by Rivkin Radler on behalf of Graco Inc. and Graco Minnesota. The case, assigned to U.S. District Judge Zahid N. Quraishi, is 3:24-cv-11294, Graco Inc. et al v. Devco Corporation.

The suit, filed Dec. 11 in New York Southern District Court by Bleichmar Fonti & Auld, accuses the defendants of concealing the bank's 'pervasive' deficiencies in regards to its compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act and the quality of its anti-money laundering controls. The court action, filed Nov. 25 in Michigan Eastern District Court by Hooper Hathaway PC on behalf of The Town Residences LLC, accuses Crown Castle of failing to transfer approximately $30,000 in utility payments from T-Mobile in breach of a roof-top lease and assignment agreement.
