In Oberholzer v. Galapo, 322 A.3d 153, 2024 Pa. LEXIS 1219 (Pa. 2024) (Dougherty, J.), Justice Kevin Dougherty, wrote the majority opinion, with Chief Justice Debra Todd and Justices Chrstine Donohue and Sallie Mundy joining the opinion. Justice P. Kevin Brobson and Justice David Wecht filed dissenting opinions.

The question in the case was whether signs decrying hatred and racism, placed by a Jewish family on their own lawn, after a neighbor called one of the family members a “f—ing Jew,” was properly enjoined by the trial court. This case involves the free speech provision found in Article I, Section 7 of the Pennsylvania Constitution. The court found that the injunction entered by the trial court violates free speech. The neighbors had a right to put up the signs.
