A federal judge has granted final approval of a $25 million settlement with Philips that would fund medical monitoring research.

The settlement, which resolves claims by more than 4 million class members, does not provide monetary relief and includes more than $4.8 million in attorney fees and costs. U.S. District Senior Judge Joy Flowers Conti of the Western District of Pennsylvania issued a Dec. 5 order approving the deal and the fees.
