In one of the first firm launch announcements of the new year, retired Reed Smith health care partner Karl Thallner has launched his own law firm after spending 29 years in the firm's Philadelphia office.

Thallner, who handles both transactional and regulatory matters for his corporate clients, has had a long career in Philadelphia’s legal market. He began his legal career in the city as an associate at legacy firm Drinker Biddle & Reath, and spent three years at Saul Ewing before moving to Reed Smith in 1995, where he led the health care practice in the Philadelphia market.
