Philadelphia-area destination Longwood Gardens is accused of discrimination over allegations its facility is not accessible to those using wheelchairs.
Takeaway: The suit alleges that Longwood Gardens has violated the Americans with Disabilities Act and the Pennsylvania Human Relations Act by failing to make various areas of the facility accessible to people with wheelchairs, specifically regarding the height of areas, counters and items. Other suits alleging violations of the PHRA have been filed in the past couple of months against companies such as CVS, Urban Outfitters and Walmart in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.
