A Philadelphia judge threw out a Bucks County law firm’s claims against its legal malpractice insurers and the law firm hired to represent the plaintiff in the underlying case.
Philadelphia County Common Pleas Court Judge Mark I. Bernstein said law firm Cordisco Bradway & Simmons’ claims against five insurers and a local law firm did not hold up because Cordisco Bradway neglected to tell their insurers when signing up for the policy that there was a likelihood of a malpractice claim being filed against the firm for actions by a former attorney.
