Losing a loved one can be a difficult experience. Waiting seven years for that person to be declared legally dead only makes it worse.

That was the eventuality that Peggy Fossett, wife of famed multimillionaire adventurer J. Stephen Fossett, faced when her husband disappeared after taking off on a routine recreational flight over rural western Nevada Sept. 3, 2007. He was never seen again.
