On Sept. 11, the Ambulance Association of Pennsylvania awarded David R. Zaslow with the Pennsylvania Stars of Life Award, an honor that recognizes individuals for their dedication and contributions to emergency medical services. Zaslow was one of nine paramedics from Pennsylvania to be recognized at the second annual “Pennsylvania EMS 9/11 Event: A Tribute to our Past and Present Heroes” in Harrisburg.

Since 1985, when he joined the Volunteer Medical Service Corps, the primary paramedic service for Lower Merion Township, Narberth, Conshohocken, West Conshohocken, and Radnor, he has volunteered, first as an EMT, then as a paramedic.
