With turmoil on Wall Street threatening an already anemic economy, midsized firms in Philadelphia are uneasy but remain hopeful, while many firms in the middle and western parts of the state still enjoy relative stability as they steel themselves for potentially turbulent economic times.
Stephen J. Harmelin, managing partner of Dilworth Paxson in Philadelphia, said law firms face 12 to 18 “very challenging” months.
