William F. Heefner, a founding partner of Curtin & Heefner, died Oct. 18. Mr. Heefner was born July 8, 1922, in Bucks County, and attended a one-room school in Perkasie, Pa. He received his undergraduate degree from Ursinus College in 1942. During World War II, he served as a first lieutenant in the infantry. He was severely wounded by an artillery barrage during a patrol in northern Italy and was decorated with a Purple Heart.
After the war, Mr. Heefner worked for Aetna Casualty and Surety Co. and obtained his law degree from Temple Law School at night. He commenced practicing law in Bucks County in 1951 with Willard S. Curtin and on Jan. 1, 1953, he and Curtin announced the formation of Curtin & Heefner.
