PHILADELPHIA (AP) — An Egyptian Christian who fears torture in his homeland can continue to fight deportation, a federal appeals court ruled Friday.

Sameh Khouzam, a Coptic Christian who has been detained for most of the decade he’s spent in the United States, can plead his case for asylum to the Bureau of Immigration Appeals, the 3rd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals panel ruled.
