I would rather be an optimist and risk being disappointed by life than be a pessimist and guarantee it. That’s one of my favorite sayings. I’ve been saying it a lot lately.
This has been such a bad year for so many. Lots of people have lost their jobs or seen their retirement savings plunge. With the holidays approaching, I thought I’d devote my last column of the year to talking about how life’s fortunes can change.
