Despite state Superior Court Judge Joan Orie Melvin’s endorsement by an overwhelming majority of the Republican State Committee, the Republican nomination for the one opening on the state Supreme Court will likely be contested in the May primary.
At least two of the three candidates who unsuccessfully sought the committee’s endorsement at the committee’s weekend meeting are continuing their campaigns into the primary.
