As the Luzerne County judicial scandal continues to unfold, two questions have been bothering me: How did this happen? And how does the judicial system recover?
It’s probably too early — and too much is still unknown — to definitively answer the first question. Suffice it to say, though, that it appears there’s something wrong with the judicial disciplinary system.
