Cozen O’Connor does not have standing to challenge an advisory opinion issued by the city’s Board of Ethics that found mayoral candidate Robert Brady was bound by campaign contribution limits even after he lost the election, the Commonwealth Court ruled.
The firm was seeking a quicker way for the U.S. congressman to raise money to pay back nearly half a million dollars in legal bills stemming from a ballot challenge Brady faced in the 2007 mayoral primary.
