A new, statewide pro bono project that aims to exonerate wrongfully convicted inmates will join the ranks of more than 70 innocence projects established throughout the United States and four other countries.

The Pennsylvania Innocence Project is officially opening its office today and will be kicking off its work with a fundraising reception from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at the National Constitution Center.
