When the state Supreme Court convenes in Philadelphia this week, the justices will be casting their eyes toward issues of sovereign and governmental immunity, government contracting and expert testimony.

The two-day oral arguments session, to be held Tuesday and Wednesday, features 15 cases. And though there are a few cases likely to attract attention — at least two amicus curiae briefs have been filed in four different cases — it is Greenwood Gaming and Entertainment v. Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board that will probably garner the headlines.
