Starting on April 5, individuals from all over Pennsylvania were given an opportunity to observe the presentations of the plans for the slots facilities proposed by the 22 applicants for operator licenses in Pennsylvania and to contribute their input by either oral or written statements concerning these proposals.
The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board (PGCB) created forums for public input and applicant presentations which took place on eighteen days during the months of April and May 2006, and which were scheduled at nine locations across the state. Through a concerted planning effort, the PGCB invited all 22 slot machine operator license applicants to come and to present publicly their plans for the slot machine facilities; and the public, to respond to them.
