A challenge to Pennsylvania’s fetal homicide law by a man convicted of murdering his pregnant girlfriend in 2003 will be among the cases the state Supreme Court hears when it meets in Philadelphia this week.

Also on the court’s agenda for the three-day argument session are appeals dealing with the condemnation of private land for open space preservation and the viability of a “sophisticated user” defense in a negligence claim.
