The Superior Court has upheld the constitutionality of a state Vehicle Code provision permitting police officers to stop cars on reasonable suspicion of a DUI violation.

Such stops do not violate the state and federal constitutionsí call for probable cause when detaining citizens, the court said, as long as the reasonable suspicion for the stop is supported by specific and articulable facts.
