Thomas M. Golden, a Berks County lawyer and immediate past president of the Pennsylvania Bar Association, has been nominated to fill the only opening on the Eastern District of Pennsylvania federal bench and, if confirmed, will become the court’s first judge to sit full-time in Reading in more than six years.

Golden, 58, is the managing partner of Golden Masano & Bradley in Wyomissing, and has long been active in both the Berks County and Pennsylvania bar associations. He was nominated to fill the seat vacated by Judge Franklin S. Van Antwerpen who was elevated to the 3rd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals.
