There are many advocates for tougher sex abuse laws. Sex offenders have targets on their backs and everyone from legislators to talk show hosts are shooting away.

In the past week the public has learned of volunteers in Delaware who help the authorities track down and visit convicted sex offenders as well as a residency rule for sex offenders in Iowa which requires convicted sex offenders to live only in specially designated areas.
